Babysitters Of solves the problem almost all parents face in finding babysitters who are reliable, experienced, live locally and who are people their children will enjoy spending time with.
How to book a babysitter
- Create an account: it’s free and only takes a minute or two
- Create a job
- Hear back from available babysitters
- Book your preferred babysitter
Job requests expire after 48 hours if a babysitter is not booked in order to guarantee up to date babysitter availability.
Our babysitters are pretty prompt in marking their availability so you will generally know whether anyone is available within a few hours.
Pricing structure
We charge £17.50 per hour as standard and £20 per hour on public or special holidays (e.g. New Year’s Eve).
We do not charge booking or subscription fees but we do charge for appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before (50% of the appointment fee) and 12 hours before (100%) the appointment start time.
As long as you return on or before your booked end time, there are no travel expenses to cover but if you return home later than the booked end time and this means that your babysitter cannot take their planned method of transport home, we kindly ask that you arrange an uber or taxi, so that they can travel safely.
Bank holidays are:
- New Year’s Day (and substitute if day falls on a weekend)
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Early May Bank holiday (May)
- Spring bank holiday (May)
- Summer bank holiday (August)
- Christmas day
- Boxing day (and substitute if day falls on a weekend)
Special holidays are:
- Valentine’s Day
- Mother’s Day
- Father’s Day
- Halloween
- Guy Fawkes Day (or the Saturday this night falls around)
- Christmas Eve
- New Year’s Eve

How we recruit our babysitters
In order to join, applicants must first ensure they meet our criteria (see register as a babysitter for details). Our directors of babysitter recruitment will meet each candidate for a face-to-face meeting to discuss their childcare experience in depth as well as establish they are reliable individuals who your children will feel as comfortable with as you do.
Babysitters can only join after providing two references: one from a current or recent employer and one from a family they have recently babysat for.
Please note, our babysitters are not required to undertake a DBS check in order to register. However, some babysitters may hold this qualification through other work such as tutoring.

Our story
A born and bred Londoner, Anna spent many happy hours babysitting for local families and soon found that she had more families to babysit for than she had time free.
Babysitters of Kensington & Chelsea launched in 2011, re-branding to Babysitters Of in 2018 when we became London wide and started providing babysitters in Norfolk and Cheltenham too!
We have grown from strength to strength whilst maintaining strong relationships with both parents and babysitters.
Providing a service that is efficient, personal and reliable is of the utmost importance and the fact that nearly all of our new bookings are referred through existing parents is testament to this.
